The Evolution of Amazing ABC Girls

Amazing ABC Girls Game On! traces its roots back to 2004. The working title was 'Sports Shorts', and consisted of 26 pencil sketches of girls playing sports from A to Z. The sketches, intended to be rendered in watercolor, were accompanied by some really bad rhymes. Seriously bad. Multiple publishers passed on it.

Fast forward a decade. Work finally begins in earnest. The media is now oil paint and the text is alliterative prose. Sketching and painting spanned 2014-2016. The sketches were then transformed into line art for the coloring book in early 2017. The writing was polished, publishing arranged, and the project was completed in November 2017.

It just wouldn't do for the Amazing ABC Girls to exercise their bodies but not their brains. Time for them to take on STEM careers.
